Due to our rapid global growth, we are searching for experienced Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL) Sales professionals to join our team.  This position reports to the Manager of Global Sales, MFL Robotics.

Position Summary 

The Account Manager is responsible for developing new and strong relationships with natural gas utility customers, connecting with key business executives, and securing orders to achieve our growth targets. Developing new customer relationships as well as developing new business from existing clients are key responsibilities. This position works across our global organization and closely with internal teams -- Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Project Management, Operations, and Data Analysis to ensure customer satisfaction.  The work location is flexible – preference is in California, Nevada or Arizona.

 

Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales and revenue goals through establishing and building strong business relationships with both new and existing customers.

  • Map and penetrate existing accounts to establish relationships with stakeholders including decision makers and influencers.

  • Operate as the point of contact for all matters specific to your customers.

  • Prepare proposals and financial justifications for bids and respond to request for quotes efficiently, professionally, and thoroughly.

  • Attend meetings with clients throughout project delivery cycles from inception to completion.

  • Lead post project review meetings to understand client experience and ensure client satisfaction.

  • Represent Intero positively and professionally within the community and industry to all clients, competitors, regulators, and industry associates.

  • Enhance department and organization’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value for your customers.

  • Liaise between the customer and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions.

  • Ensure all sales and project related documents are completed efficiently, thoroughly, and in a timely manner.

  • Proper handover from Sales to Operations with thorough support documents adhering to existing process flow requirements.

  • Meet or exceed annual quota assigned for you and your customers.

  • Communicate timely and thorough progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Continue to further develop deep industry technical knowledge.

What We’re Looking For:

Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are established to ensure the business is delivering on commitments, growing in the Region, and continually improving. Performance indicators are as follows and are established for specific sales positions:

  1. Regular new clients added to current portfolio.

  2. Perform lunch and learn & industry presentations.

  3. Manage and update prospects within the Intero CRM.

  4. Quarterly Sales - hit targets based on an agreed budgetary outline.

  5. Sales Opportunities – Monthly opportunities to be separated and scaled higher on peak periodic times.

  6. Quote-To-Close ratio.

  7. Lead tracking and growth targets monitored.

  8. Average Purchase Value –track market costs and industry pricing.

  9. Face-to-Face meetings – Target six (6) to nine (9) meetings per month with current and new customers.

  10. Phone Calls – Twenty (20) – forty (40) prospecting calls per month.

  11. Assure handover is properly managed through our established process flow for every project.

 

What you should bring to the team:

 

Education and Experience

  • Three or more years of successful sales experience in both acquiring new accounts and growing existing accounts in corporate selling (B2B), strong preference for experience in O&G and pipeline inspection.

  • Track record of selling to natural gas utilities in the USA is strongly preferred.

  • Proven ability to advance potential customers through the stages of the sales process.

  • Ethical sales approach and always dedicated to integrity.

  • Exceptional presentation skills with demonstrated sales techniques & strategies, both in-person and verbally.

  • Success with virtual customer contact and presentations.

  • Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills.

  • Effective professional communicator with a strong sense of empathy, industry acumen, and ability to listen and comprehend.

  • Excellent oral & presentation skills, as well as above average written skillset critical to professionally represent yourself and Intero.

  • Demonstrated leadership and proven negotiation skills and sales achievements.

  • Self-motivated with dedicated client service focus and strong desire to succeed.

  • Willingness to travel approximately 35% of the time.

  • Experience with using CRM software (Salesforce).

  • Must be able to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Completion of post-secondary degree/diploma desired.
