Position Summary
The Manufacturing Technician will provide support by leading the coordination of equipment and manpower scheduling, project administration, document management, initiation of project setup, timesheet validation, invoice requests and various other responsibilities, ensuring a high level of customer service and attention to detail for the entirety of assigned projects.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate manual machining equipment to repair, modify or make parts and perform first article inspections
Conduct quality control inspections using precision measurements, making program and tooling adjustments to maintain specifications
Assemble and disassemble robotic equipment to complete tasks and support department projects
Clean and repair damaged robotic equipment as needed
Provide solutions to unique manufacturing challenges
Maintain a clean and safe workspace in the Machine and Fabrication Shop
Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to support cross-functional needs, including the ability to transition and provide support within the Mold Shop as required
What We’re Looking For:
4+ years of experience using manual mills and lathes to produce precision parts from technical drawings
Proficiency in mechanical detail and assembly drawings interpretation
Strong work ethic with a focus on quality and efficiency
Ability to work independently and collaboratively to achieve team goals
Skilled with hand tools and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
An ability and drive to learn new skills
2+ years’ experience operating 3 or 4 axis CNC milling machines
What you should bring to the team:
Education and Experience
Highschool Diploma or Technical Degree preferred
Considered Assets:
Understanding of machining technical and exotic materials
Experience with induction brazing, MIG/TIG welding, sinker EDM processes
Knowledge and competence in CNC machining processes and equipment
Experience with 3 & 4-axis CNC machining and setup
Knowledge of epoxy/urethane resin casting
Experience with CAD/CAM programming (GibbsCAM or equivalent)
